Costs for Botox can vary significantly based on how much an individual needs and wishes to get, and based on who is administering it. Some skin care centers advertise low prices for Botox on a "cost per area" basis, advertising prices of $200-$300 for one area. The doctor we spoke to recommends getting price quotes on a "cost per unit" basis, because some places might be quoting lower prices but giving you smaller treatments, which may be less effective and require more frequent visits.
Typical costs:
Typically, treatments run $300-$1,200 depending on how much you need and who administers it. Treatments may be every 3 months.
A nurse administering Botox in a mall on average costs $9-$12 per unit, or $200-$300 per area (with 20-30 units), which can run $200-$600 for a typical treatment.
A dermatologist or plastic surgeon administering Botox at a medical office on average costs $14-$17 per unit of Botox, or $600 to $1,200 or more for multiple areas.
Some skin care centers, for example at malls are cheaper, but you'll want to check first on the quality of service they provide (see shopping for Botox, below)
It may save money to have a group of friends have a "Botox party," which can cost 10-20% less, in large part because it can take less time.
Even dermatologists or plastic surgeons may offer discounts, especially if you are a regular customer or purchase multiple services. You may also get a discount if you refer new customers.
Shopping for botox treatments:
If you do seek Botox treatments, we recommend visiting a qualified person who purchases botox directly from the manufacturer. A list is available at Allergan's website.
You can also find a board certified physician by visiting the American Academy of Dermatology[1] or the American Society of Plastic Surgeons[2] .
One way to find a provider is to schedule a skin check with your dermatologist, and ask your dermatologist for a recommendation or whether they themselves offer the service. Your dermatologist may also be able to give you a sense of what kind of treatment could be right for you.
On February 8, 2008, the FDA, in an ongoing safety review of botox and botox cosmetic, announced that in rare instances, children treated with Botox had been hospitalized and even died.

I never would have imagined spending so much money on botox. I had some lines done on the outside of my eyes, a dimple in my chin (which didn't work at all) some st the corners of my lips(I wouldn't not do this again, because my bottom lip ended up covering my not only my bottom teeth, but it wouldn't move out if the way so I could bite into anything. Not only that but I couldn't speak! And one side is still higher than the other. And, I had some done for bruxism, but I'm already beginning to clench and grind. Dr. Fodor told me I got a really good deal.
I guess it’s true... everything is bigger and better in Texas! I have received Botox three different times even years apart and absolutely loved my long lasting results! I have gotten them from a doctor and now a RN. I will continue to go to her and just recently tried Newtox, it’s just like Botox but $8 a unit and I can’t tell a difference!
I'm truly disappointed at my results five days later. I've had NO results trying to get rid of my 11s. I do understand it takes time. But it started with her saying 2/3 days now it's two weeks I understand that but you would thing there would be SOME difference even the slightest. But none.
I've been getting botox cosmetic treaments every 4 months annually, for the past 10 years. One of the top dermatologist in the world, very happy I found this doctor. I was just notified the price per unit jumped to $18 per unit, and was shocked. Is this the norm for the Miami, Fl. Area?
$12 per unit is the typical rate for botox in North Jersey. I just moved here from Nashville and it is actually the same price there as here, surprisingly. Although in Nashville my Dr ran specials twice a year where she charged $9 a unit so I always made sure to hit up those offers. Her name is Ms. Sue and she is in Hendersonville Tn. Her office is called Ms.Sue's Med Spa. She runs amazing offers on injections if you sign up to get emails. Northern Jersey juverderm is significant different in price when it comes to juvederm and injections. But botox price is the same. I am now using Dysport instead of regular botox and that's about the same price ... The units are cheaper but you need twice as much so it equals out about the same. Dysport kicks in within 3 days and I love that. I would like to find a good doctor up here with better prices. I will post if I find one
I am addicted. I have crows feet, 11s, accordion forehead, under eyes, cheeks near nose to eliminate wrinkling up under eyes. Smoother look. Been doing Botox and Dysport for 3 yrs now. Can get expensive but it's my only "vice" in life. Want to stay as young looking as possible.
I have been recieving Botox treatments for over 2 years and I am addicted. I just love it. I found a great doctor down the street from work. His prices are GREAT and his attention to detail is amazing when injecting the botox. I would recommend botox to anyone that hates their 11's which I do, crows feet, and Worry lines...
Great experience. Painless, office is emaculate. Dr. is gentle and explains all procedures. Did Juvederm with a local block(dentists are experts in numing) did not feel a thing. A true believer in the products and Dr. Berkovich.
