I had all my upper teeth removed because they were chewed up by my nightly teeth grinding, and I have maybe 6 teeth on the bottom, because my original dentist kept pulling them when he thought they should come out. With all my uppers pulled, they place four implants into my upper gums to hold a plastic denture (removeable), which I am uncomfortably wearing at present! I haven’t been able to taste food since this temporary fake denture was placed in my mouth after surgery. They had to cut a notch out of this plastic denture, or else it would get mauled by rubbing against a lower back tooth. This cheap piece of plastic they put in my upper mouth is rubbing a sore place on my upper left side, and the teeth look like and are the size of children’s teeth, and you can’t even see them when I speak, and my speech is awful, because the teeth don’t fit properly! If I try to eat with them, the come loose, and I can’t continue eating! I won’t even take them out EVER, because they look bad!

I am a 40 year old mother of 3 who had a dentist completely mess up my teeth and now I have broken and failing teeth. I can’t smile anymore and can’t afford to have anything done as I get no help from my kids father. I don’t ever ask for help with anything but I ran into this website and figured, why not at least give it a try. I haven’t smiled in about 7 years. I need teeth pulled and I need to be able to get dentures to eat regular food again. Thank you in advance if you can help

I have had dentures for almost 20 years. Of all the sets I have this new set looks awful !! They are oddly shaped, there is a hole in the acrylic "gum", the acrylic comes down on the teeth and food gets under it, now there is a strange black spot I cant get rid of. The dentist that made them told me I am stuck with them as they are. Any advice would be most helpful.

I’ve needed dentures for a couple years or more. Several teeth pulled and a couple broken, one in front and another chipped in front. We won’t have dental insurance again until next year but my husband wants me to get them now so I’ll feel better about myself and not be so depressed and afraid to smile. He’s had them for several years so he’ll help me get used to them. I’m getting full upper and lower with two implants on lower set. I’m very very nervous, and will have to pay on credit which will put more debt on us and with interest will be even more expensive.

Will be unable to talk, eat or sleep with them in place, requires replacement every 5 years. Is this a good price or should I look elsewhere?

Immediate Dentures were $3000 for the set full upper and full lower). Extractions of 19 teeth were another $3000. Some local dentists, I later learned, do both the immediate denture AND permanent dentures a year later for the same $3000. The immediate dentures are thick and unwearable. The "permanent" set, for which we will again pay for out-of-pocket (dentist had maxed our dental insurance for the year with fillings before she decided full-mouth extractions were needed) will be purchased elsewhere.

I Desperately need to get both upper and lower set of mini dentures put in due to current low body weight. I have Sjogrens disease that destroyed my teeth so I paid to have them all removed. The Dentures I paid the dentist to have made were too painful and wouldn't hold. I Also have Multiple sclerosis and started a new medicine that cost over 2,300 a month so I had to sell my house in hopes I ca find a dentist or insurance combinination to finish teeth. Any advice or reference would be so helpful. I Am currently gumming my food and weight is a bit too low and can be dangerous if exacerbation.

I live near one of the cheapest denture shops in the country. I plan to get a full upper and a partial lower as soon as I can get into an oral surgeon to get my top teeth and roots removed. I just hate having to go 6-8 weeks w/o teeth in public and at work. It cost a few hundred more to get the temp detures, which I cannot afford.
