Teeth Effect Bands Cost

How Much Do Teeth Effect Bands Cost?

 average costTypical: $20-$30 per 100

Also called teeth gap bands, teeth effect bands are dental compressor rubber bands used to close a small gap between two teeth by drawing them together. The bands are not recommended for children 12 and under or people with delicate teeth.

Typical costs:

  • Clear, non-latex bands sized for drawing two teeth together are available for $20-$30 per 100 from TeethGap.com. Similar bands sell for $4-$20, depending on quantity, on ebay, but before buying less-expensive bands, be sure they are clear, non-latex and the correct size, and not just orthodontic bands meant to be put on braces.

What should be included:
  • A single band is stretched by hand and then slid around the outside of the two teeth that have a gap between them. It's similar to sliding dental floss between your teeth, inserting one side of the band at a time. The teeth may be painful for the first 3-4 days, or anytime you increase the number or strength of the bands. The bands should be worn every night, and during the day if you want to speed up the process. Do not wear the bands while eating or brushing your teeth. While some people report good results[1] with the bands, others complain that the process is painful and the results are only temporary. One frustrated user shares her experiences[2] .
  • The popularity of these bands is a relatively new trend so there's no official word yet from the American Dental Association or the American Association of Orthodontists, but individual dentists caution[3] about the lack of careful control of tooth movement, and that the bands could pull a tooth out of the socket, causing long-term problems. Plus, closing a large gap between two teeth using this method could create two new gaps on each side of those teeth. Other options for fixing a gap between teeth include cosmetic bonding, dental veneers, crowns, and partial or full braces.
Shopping for teeth effect bands:
  • Teeth effect bands are available from TeethGap.com or on ebay.

I decided to use them, to see if my gaps could be a quick fix. They dont work, they dont work and now one of my front teeth are loose and i just broke down and got braces, which is now 328 a month. My advice would be dont worry about the gap unless you have a lot of money or great insurance because you're waisting your time and effort. Its not worth it
