Looks like I got a pretty good deal for one crown. It was discounted through Cigna Dental Plan that I purchased. Included build up and crown. Crown is all porcelain, one day appointment. Crown was made in office. So far so good!

Which Tooth: 30Type of Crown: cerec
My daughter went in with tooth pain. She had 3 cavities, in the end she had to have a root canal on #30, large filling in #19, and small filling in #18. 2 weeks later she went in for the build-up with crown. After exams, xrays, fillings, root canal with endontist, and crown work my total expense for everything was $245.00. My insurance through my employer is amazing. 100% coverage on everything except crowns and bridge work which is covered at 80%, with no yearly or lifetime maximums.

Which Tooth: frontType of Crown: metal with porcelain outside
just chipped a tooth. First the dentist grated it down to avoid the sharp edge. I told him it looked too short, so he suggested a crown. My insurance Delta, covers 75% but $1,000 max per year. My cost was outrageous.

Which Tooth: lower front # 23Type of Crown: porceline and metal
I had to eat that last chicken wing !! Well, I broken my lower front tooth (#23) and after getting xrays, insurance approvals (covered xrays and root canal) and a long talk with the dentist about what everything was involved, it's costing me for the crown (metal based) was $ 900 (not bad for NYC). At leased the xrays, root canal and examinations were covered !

Which Tooth: #5 (right behind canine)Type of Crown: composite I think
($235 for cleaning and X-rays also) Nice folks and dentist.. no pain;. BUT I haven't been in 5 years, so besides the broken tooth I had fixed today, he saw an old crown with decay below it, and I will go back for that when I pick up current crown.. He may have to do root canal for other one. ALSO - right rear lower Implant is wobbly, and I may need that redone.. WOW... maybe back to dental school in Ann Arbor for that.. I'm living on just a few thousand over the poverty level for a single person too... the cost will be killing me.. I wrote to the President this am suggesting they add Dental care to Medicare.. would be REAL nice.. (He also pointed out two other fillings he said were ancient, and he'd like to crown those two teeth also)..

Which Tooth: #13 and #14Type of Crown: All ceramic
This started as two crowns, but a root canal was also required. The crowns were $1050 each for my out of pocket expense (I don't know how much the Delta Dental paid). My share of the root canal was $780. The workmanship was excellent. Their accounting not so good. I think dental insurance sucks.

Which Tooth: infected old cap root canallType of Crown: porcelin
I think these dentists need a reality check on the economics of this country. The people in this country used to be able to afford dental care and we had to have the best smiles in the world. NOT anymore check out the prices to fix teeth in China or anywhere else in the world. US dental prices are going up, not because of cost but because the dentists have out-priced themselves and they have less patients because most can't afford to do anything, but pull our teeth out 400-500 dollars. They should be ashamed!!!!

Amount: $3,750.00

Which Tooth: #12 & #5Type of Crown: custom crowns
I PAID in full for both crowns and the procedure to get the mold and all of that. When one of my implants failed, I was told, "Your insurance paid for one, so you have a FREE on owed to you. What if it did not fail, they would just keep, $1.750.00? The periodontist who pulled the teeth, did the same exact thing! DENTISTS KEEP YOUR MONEY & THE INSURANCE MONEY, and they never tell you. WE have to check up on them? Seems like legal-stealing if you ask [email protected]
I have insurance to save ME MONEY not you overpriced thieves.

Which Tooth: IncisorsType of Crown: Post crown
I felt very abnormal, I had this kind of feeling that the crown was bigger than every tooth in mouth. I had this feeling for sometime and could not smile or laugh with confidence until I notice that no one actually suspected I had a crown. At a point i would even ask if anyone could notice anything different about me.

Which Tooth: Top front canineType of Crown: Porcelain
Totally worth the money - this was out-of-pocket since I don't have insurance. Wish I'd known about the no-insurance plan before hand, would've saved 20%, but compared to other prices, I was satisfied.
